Pregnancy & Postnatal Classes
At effraspace we specialise in Pregnancy and Postnatal classes. Our founder, Pinter & Martin, has published books on pregnancy, birth and parenting for over 20 years, and their expertise and knowledge is something we love to bring into all of our classes. As well as various mum & baby classes, we also offer courses and workshops, and encourage all mothers and babies to enjoy and relax afterwards in our breastfeeding-friendly cafe.
Our Postnatal classes include Postnatal Mum & Baby Yoga and Postnatal Pilates. Postnatal Mum & Baby Yoga is split into two groups, one for new babies under 4 months and one for the older babies aged 4 months+. These classes are a wonderful way to ease back into exercise following the birth of your baby and also a marvellous way to meet other new and local parents. Our teachers are well-versed in postnatal and baby health, and our aim is to create holistic and welcoming classes for you and your baby to enjoy. We also run a Pram Chorus every Wednesday for mums with babies and toddlers, and would love for you to come and sing with us!
Yoga is often advised as one of the safest ways to keep exercising during pregnancy, but did you know that it can also help during the actual birth itself? Our Mindful Pregnancy Yoga class is a wonderful way for you to practice specialised movements and breathing techniques that can aid you during childbirth. As well as meeting and bonding with other soon-to-be mothers, this class is wonderful space for you to connect with your unborn child whilst they are getting ready to meet you!
Our Baby Massage Course runs every six weeks and is suitable for babies and mums as soon as they feel ready post-birth! Each course runs for six weeks and you build upon the skills learnt in the previous week. The power of touch is one of the first ways we communicate with our babies, and getting to see each mother and baby fall deeper in love with each other is one of the special highlights of our week!
