I am a complete beginner - can I just come along and try a class?
Yes. Most of our classes cater to beginners and our teachers are very inclusive. If you are at all worried, just speak to the teacher before the class and let them know you are starting out. They will be able to answer any questions or sort out any issues you may have. 

Do I need to book a class or can I just turn up? 
We recommend that you book your class in advance, just to secure your spot. However, if you turn up and there is space left in the class you can of course attend. 

I am a new customer. How do I book a class online? 
To book online, simply go to our timetable page, look for the class you would like to attend and click 'book'.  You will be asked to create an account. Once you have created an account, you can then choose whether you'd like to buy a single class or a pass, which works out cheaper. You will be emailed a confirmation. No need to bring anything –  just sign in at effraspace using the iPad in reception and you're done.  You will also shortly be able to use the effraspace app, which you can download from the Apple and Android App stores.

I am an existing customer. How do I book a class online?
To book online, simply click on the class you would like to attend and select 'book'. You will be asked to login if you are not logged in already. If you already have a valid pass on your account, this will be debited when you proceed to checkout. Alternatively you can then purchase a single class or 6-class pass. 

I want to purchase a pass for multiple classes - how long is it valid for?
Our current 6-class pass is valid for 2 months and can be used for any class. Passes are added to your account and begin when you attend your first class. Prices vary for adult & child, and we also have a concession rate. Find out more here

What forms of payment do you take?  
We take MasterCard and Visa cards on the website, and cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Apple Pay and the Brixton Pound at the venue.

Do I have to bring my own yoga mat/equipment?
There is no need - we have all the equipment/yoga mats available - but of course you can bring your own if you prefer. 

Do you have step-free access/changing facilities/showers?
Yes, we have one wheelchair accessible toilet, our other two toilets are also step-free but not wheelchair accessible. We also have small changing areas with baby-changing facilities. Unfortunately there are no showering facilities at the venue.

Do you have wifi?
Yes, we have free wifi for use in the entire venue for our customers and visitors. The current password is displayed in the lounge, or just ask at reception.

Is there any parking near effraspace? 
There is limited metered parking in Effra Parade, currently £3/hour -max stay 4 hours (free after 5.30pm and before 8.30am and weekends). Click here for more info on how to find us via public transport. 

Can I park my bike near effraspace? 
There are spots to park your bike outside effraspace, but if you'd like to bring it inside, we also have space near reception where you can leave it whilst you do your class. 

Can I give you feedback about your classes or the venue?
We very much appreciate feedback, especially as effraspace has only opened recently and we are still working on making it perfect for our customers and visitors. Please email info@effra.space or call us on 020 3633 4733. You can also comment on effraspace on Facebook or Twitter, or review us on Google, but should we have done something wrong, please allow us to try and put it right first.

When is the café and bookshop open?
The licensed café and bookshop is open from 9.30am to 8.30pm Monday to Friday. Our main office is just across the road so if you would like to view the venue or have a look at some books outside of these hours, simply call us on 020 3633 4733 and we will be be happy to come and open up for you if we're around. 

Can I hire effraspace?
Yes, effraspace is available for private hire for workshops, meetings, conferences and one-to-ones. Please see our hire page for details.
